When Gerry Meyer took this photo of the simple marker for one of the 86 turbines that were being built near his home, he had no idea that life was about to change drastically. This turbine site is less than 1600 from the Meyer home. The turbine that is now sited here is just one of five turbines the Meyer family can hear from inside their home near the Town of Byron, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. The turbines went on line in March of 2008.
