2010 Wind Energy Systems moratorium enacted by Town of Holland, Brown County, Wisconsin

The Town of Union (Rock County) ordinance is widely considered to be the best written ordinance in the state of Wisconsin and has been adopted by other Towns around the state. This ordinance has also been used as a model for ordinances created by other local governments around the country.

Now a historical document, this ordinance was created by wind developers and others with financial interest in the document. This ordinance was used to site wind projects in Wisconsin until it was mysteriously taken down from the state website. State officials were unable to say why the ordinance was removed or who ordered it to be removed.
