2/12/10 The promise and the product: is wind power a fair-weather friend?

The BPA is part of the US Department of Energy [DOE]
The seven-day graph shows the electricity that was needed in red, and the electricity that came from wind generation in blue as of February 12, 2010.
The installed capacity for BPA wind generation is 2,780 MW. At the time of this posting on the morning of February 12, out of a possible 2,780 MW, current BPA wind generation is 74 MW.
